Another day, another senseless terrorist attack on Jews in Israel

I decided the other day was the day to hear out the other side, so I listened to a X recording (see below) of Mohamad Fakih, C.M.,  speaking about the erasure of people in Gaza. In mid-discourse I was stopped, not a word of a lie, in the middle of listening to Fakih, because a news report flashed across my X-feed, forcing me to ask:

British journalist Douglas Murray has a blunt take on Israel’s strikes in Qatar
Grok. What happened today in Jerusalem?

It's as if God has impeccable timing for showing people off to be the buffoons, rapscallions, rakes, and deviants they really are.

It turns out, Mohamad Fakih could have been talking about the erasure of another day of peaceful existence in Jerusalem by Palestinian and Hamas-planned and executed atrocities against Jews:

GROK REPLIED: "The most significant event in Jerusalem today was a deadly terrorist shooting attack at Ramot Junction, a busy bus stop on the outskirts of the city near Golda Meir Boulevard. Two Palestinian gunmen from villages in the occupied West Bank (identified as Muthanna Omar, 20, and Muhammad Taha, 21) arrived by car, boarded a bus, and opened fire on civilians, including passengers and bystanders. The attack occurred around 10:15 a.m. local time, shortly after morning rush hour, and was described by Israeli authorities as one of the deadliest in the city since 2023.

Casualties and Response

Victims: Six people were killed, including five Israelis (Levi Yitzhak Pash, Yisrael Matzner, 28; Rabbi Yosef David, 43; Rabbi Mordechai Steintzag, 79; Yaakov Pinto, 25; Sarah Mendelson, 60) and one Spanish national. At least 12-20 others were injured, with six in serious condition from gunshot wounds and others lightly hurt by glass shards. A pregnant woman was among the wounded.

Attackers Neutralized: An off-duty soldier from the Hasmonean Brigade and an armed civilian security officer shot and killed both perpetrators at the scene. No prior arrest history was noted for the attackers." What's happening today in Jerusalem? Terrorism is an endless battle for Israelis. Hamas took time out from their affairs to praise these two mass murderers.

Meanwhile, returning to Mohamad Fakih, C.M. @mohamadfakih8:

"What’s happening in Gaza isn’t war — it’s erasure. Israel has bombed schools, mosques, churches, universities, even stadiums. Every part of Palestinian life is under attack. Athletes, filmmakers, healthcare workers, unions, food industry leaders — across Canada, voices are. . ."

Listening to your lies?

Begs the question . . . how many terrorist attacks occur on Israel each year?

To which Grok replies:

Approximately 3,500 to 7,000 terrorist attacks occur annually in Israel, depending on the definition used. This broad range reflects the inclusion of low-level incidents like stone-throwing and Molotov cocktails (which make up the majority) versus more serious attacks involving weapons such as shootings, stabbings, vehicular rammings, or explosives.

For context:
- In 2023, Israel's Shin Bet (security agency) reported 3,436 total attacks in Israel, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, including minor incidents.
- In 2024, this rose to 6,828 total attacks, though "significant" attacks (e.g., those with firearms or explosives) fell 44% to 231, amid heightened counterterrorism efforts that thwarted over 1,000 plots.

These figures are drawn from official Israeli security reports and align with trends from the Global Terrorism Database, which tracks similar patterns but focuses more on lethal or high-impact events. The uptick since 2023 is linked to the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, but Israeli forces report preventing the vast majority of attempted serious attacks (only 2-5% succeed). Casualties remain relatively low compared to the volume: around 40-50 fatalities and 300+ injuries per year from non-warfront terrorism.
