Best ever
Last one I watched was John Wick 2 I think, it was my favorite Christmas movie and I did an excellent review here, best Christmas movie of all time. Better than all the rest.
Returning to John Wick 4, let me say, it was great for 40 minutes, more absolute mayhem. Forty minutes of John Wick is 40 minutes and a half of straight ahead killing.
But something magical happened at 39:47 and I had to pause and reflect, with a tear of joy in my eye. The Numchucks. The fight scene was more than a fight scene. It was a master class in taking people apart with two sticks joined by a chain, which lasted until 42-56.
It was the most satisfying shit kicking you will ever see. It beats anything I have seen, possibly all the way back to 1976 outside the Biltmore Hotel on Kingsway Avenue in Vancouver, only that guy used a leather belt with a huge biker buckle, something like a pedal or a piece of handlebar. But I digress.
